I have no idea what’s on the minds of product designers these days. I got a car mount a month ago, and it’s one of those clip-on mounts where I have to forcefully push my iPhone in until I hear a “click” sound. The mount was also attached to the power outlet, which meant that the iPhone was latched at my knee level, making the use of GPS incredibly difficult.
Needless to say, the tight fitting nature of my old car mount gave a scratch on the side of my precious phone (It couldn’t fit with the bumper on, so I had to remove the bumper). I never quite forgave it, and gave it a few good kicks before throwing it down the rubbish chute.
Thankfully, I chanced upon this new car mount which has an adjustable support grip. *Hurray!*
